This jewelry box has been in my stash for some time and initially, I thought this should become a chess and checkers board game box.
But when I was getting ready to take the time and make it happen it didn’t feel right or rather inspiration hit and said that it wanted to be a jewelry box instead.
And off I went to search for a pattern that made sense for this trinket and keepsake box.
I looked through my files and found this pattern I purchased from L. Irish and felt that this is the one it’s meant to be. The challenge sometimes is then, of course, deciding what to add to the side and since oak leaves are a part of it, I chose to add oak leaves to three sides of this jewelry box.
I get nervous when it comes to doing portraits and it’s something I definitely want to work on moving forward. I can wood-burning animals with eyes and fur and the details but humans have always presented themselves as a challenge. This one turned out really good though and even my partner thinks this is my best work yet.
The Dimensions for the Oak Leaf Lady Pyrography Jewelry Box are 11.25″ x 11.25″ x 4.25″ Wood Box and was sprayed with polyurethane for protection.
