Today, Lennon has received official orders to get out of the ICU and go the floor!!!!!!!

One of the chest tubes will come out today, and the other will be evaluated, not 100% on that one yet. He currently is sleeping and appears extra tired. But when he is awake he is Lennon, laughing, smiling, playing, being sassy and ornery!

I am overly cautious about everything at the moment, and working towards getting things together to home school. I often just want to wrap him in a bubble of protection. I am not sure what the next steps are, as there are still nutritional issues to figure out. But for now, I am happy and excited that he is doing so much better. But it doesn’t exist without worrying about the future.

  1. So glad that things are looking so much better at this point. How wonderful it must be to be able to hear Lennon’s voice and talk and communicate with him again after over 3 weeks on the ventilator and with sedation. After all this do the doctors have any ideas what happened? why this happened? any answers? any idea if this could happen again? My heart just aches to think of all that Lennon has gone through and to not have a real positive feeling that they have found the answers and this will not happen again. My heart aches even more for you as parents and all that you must endure and go through, all that your mind must go through, the constant unrest of questions and wondering. We pray that things will go more smoothly and some answers may be found and most of all that Lennon may finally be stable and heal.
