Many artists have been ramping up their inventory because it’s the season for handmade gifts to be shared with family and friends! Here’s the thing, we all don’t have time to sit and make that special gift but we can support artists who use their skills and talents to create!

This year’s curated Handmade Holiday Gift Guide featuring handmade gifts for just about everyone on your list! And I am sharing with you GoImagine Shop Owners. I recently opened a shop there and am working in getting everything set up – but that doesn’t mean you need to wait!

Now to my official press release as I am joining GoImagine!

Local maker Petra Monaco is using her talents to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children through a new movement called “The Caring Economy.” The Charlottesville-based maker this week unveiled her storefront on, joining thousands of like-minded artists around the country looking to kick-start the new marketplace that cares.

Petra has been selling handmade wood-burning and crochet work online for 16 years. By bringing her Petra Monaco shop to Goimagine, which donates 100% of Profits from the marketplace to children’s charities, Petra is helping support a new mission-driven marketplace.

“As a special-needs parent with a son born with a rare genetic disorder and having undergone three liver transplants, giving back has become important to me. When I learned about Goimagine I couldn’t wait to get involved,” said Petra from Petra Monaco “It’s such an easy way to do good in the world. I was already selling at other online marketplaces. So doing it on a marketplace focused on helping children in need seems like a no-brainer.”

Goimagine is the world’s first marketplace focused on company growth solely for the purpose of increasing charitable donations. By shifting the focus of profits from wealthy investors to providing social good Goimagine hopes to start bringing balance to a lopsided economy.

“We are very excited that Petra decided to join our growing community of handmade sellers across the country,” said Jon Lincoln, Founder of “Our hope is to prove that an online marketplace can be successful while also focusing on social responsibility. With makers like Petra Monaco, we will be able to do it.”

Goimagine has already donated to their first charity Horizons for Homeless Children in Boston and has plans to donate to children’s charities throughout the United States as it continues to grow.

“I can’t wait to see where this goes and I’m excited to be a part of such a great new movement,” says Petra. You can visit her shop at:
