Elevate your summer wardrobe with this Spider Stitch halter top and crochet this top giving it an airy flow for those hot summer days.

Material: Bramwell Duo Magic Cone Yarn (yarn has been discontinued)  

Substitute 3-ply acrylic – though you might be able to find some Bramwell online. 

You will be working with 2 strands at a time!  

Hook size: F (3.75 mm) 

Ch = chain 
Sc = single crochet 
Dc = double crochet 
CL = Cluster 

Bra – Make 2 Triangles 

Ch 5 and join with sl st in the ring.

Row 1: ch 3, 6 dc, * ch 3, 7 dc*, from * till * repeat once more, ch 3, join with sl st in ther 3rd ch at the beginning 

Row 2: ch 3, 6 dc in next 6 dc, * 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in 3-ch space, 7dc in next 7 dc*, from * till * repeat once more, 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in last 3-ch space, join with sl st in ther 3rd ch at the beginning 

Row 3: ch 3, 10 dc in next 10 dc, * 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in ch-3 space, 11 dc in next 11 dc*, from * till * repeat once more, 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in last 3-ch space, join with sl st in the 3rd ch at the beginning.

Repeat this pattern for the desired sizing. The one in the picture I have 8 rows. It will measure about 9 x 9 x 9. The diagram indicates the approximate inches it needs to be for your desired size! 

Joining: With the point of the cup facing left, join at right corner, ch 1, and begin working a sc edging around the cup; when you get to the point at the top, ch 90, then work sc in each ch, join with sl st back to the bra piece and continue working sc around the top until you are 6 st from finish. Place both pieces together and join with sl st.  

Sl st 6 st back to continue with edging, back to the top piece repeat strap and finish edging back to the bottom of the bra piece.  

Top 

Row 1-2: Ch 1, turn sc across 

ch 50 (50, 64, 64, 90) join ch with a sl st in the corner of the other cup. Make sure the back strap is not twisted when joining it to the front.   

Row 3: ch 1, go through st, *[yarn over, pull through (2 loops on hook), go through the next st, yarn over, pull through (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through all 3 loops on hook, go through same stitch], repeat from * around. Join with sl st, ch 4 

Row 4: Dc in next st,*chain 5, sk 2 dc, CL in the next dc; ch5, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * across, join with sl st in 3rd ch from beg ch 4.  

Row 5: ch 4, dc in next dc; *ch 4, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 1, sk CL, sc in next ch-5 sp; ch 4 dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * across, join with sl st in 3rd ch from beg ch 4.  

Row 6: ch 4, dc in next dc; *ch 4, sc in next in next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp, sc in next sc; ch 4 dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * across, join with sl st in 3rd ch from beg ch 4.  

Row 7: ch 4, Dc in next st,*chain 5, sk sc,  CL in the next dc; ch5, dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * across, join with sl st in 3rd ch from beg ch 4.  

Row 8: sc in dc, ch2, sc in dc; *9ch 1, sc) twice in next ch-5 sp; cg 1, sc in CL; (ch 1, sc) twice in next ch-5 sp; (ch 1, sc in next sc) twice; rep from * across, join with sl st to first sc.  

Repeat rows 4 through 8 for pattern and until desired length.

Bottom edge: 

Row 1: ch 1, sc around 

Row 2: ch 1, go through st, *[yarn over, pull through (2 loops on hook), go through the next st, yarn over, pull through (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through all 3 loops on hook, go through the same stitch], repeat from * around. Join with sl st and finish off.
