Are you taking enough time for you? Do you prioritize yourself!

Are you a yes person? Are you always saying yes to everyone else? Does that leave you feeling alone or perhaps even resentful? Are your personal needs met?

One of the most important things one can do for themselves is to put yourself first.

What? You’re crazy! How can I do that?

I hear you but it is necessary that you find time for your own needs.

But I don’t have time between work and family, friends.

Yes, I can hear you loud and clear. Life can be demanding and challenging but is taking care of yourself for 15 minutes a day worth it or would you rather be burned out and grumpy?

When we take care of ourselves by doing the things we enjoy, follow our passion or even do nothing at all, you will be happier.

Having space for yourself = destressing, unwinding, rejuvenating, renewing, healing and creating

Stop feeling guilty because you allow yourself to take care of yourself!

You cannot possibly do everything in one day or a week, so re-evaluate your priorities and make room for you!

Let me make another point: stop the feeling over being overwhelmed, angry, resentful, tired and frustrated. I would say those are good reasons to make sure you prioritize yourself!

What you must do:

  • Decide you deserve to be a priority
  • Decide how you will spend it
  • Evaluate the things that waste your time
  • Learn to say no!
  • Ask for help!
  • Schedule the things you must do
  • Commit to me time daily and make it a ritual!
