Do you prioritize your goals and the actions that follow?

When prioritizing your day and you are working towards your goals, one of the things that I like to do is make a list.

On the list, I write down the projects and goals that I have going on. I work 90 days sessions because the reality is goals can change.  And setting everything too far ahead can be overwhelming and gets you into Zone of shoulds.

And the zone of shoulds is never good if you’re trying to move forward!

Now that you have your list of goals and activities, it’s time to sit down and figure out what’s important. In my planner, I have my top five important tasks that I need to and I want to get done during the week.

I also have five additional actions that may be not so important but are still activities I want to do or that I don’t do them move to the importance list.

When you know what you’re working towards and what’s important, focus on what would make the most impact because that will help you be more focused.

Let’s say you want to write a blog more regularly, about two to three blog posts a week or even you know just one blog post a week you can do that in a batch session.

Pick a day of the week where you will focus on your blog posts for 2-3 hours and do only that during that time. You can schedule them ahead with WordPress.

And now you have more time and room to work on other activities to help you move towards your goal.

I like to do is batch sessions and squish the same and similar activities into one session for two to three hours on any given day that I want to get them done.

This helps me to get things done, have space for the days where I am not up to par and can still feel productive and don’t let my audience hanging!

Furthermore, I can focus on content for my programs or way of gonna be servicing and client sessions.

Make a list of all the reoccurring activities you know you’ll be doing.

You can

Write your blog post in a batch session
Record your videos and podcasts in a session
Write  a chapter or three in a session
Create art in a session

The key here is to take breaks in between. Say you’re spending a day recording videos then after each video take a small break so you don’t rush through them.

If you want to stay productive and have good content, those breaks help you keep your head in order and your productivity on par.

Go to the bathroom, take a quick walk or just get some fresh air.

They don’t have to be long breaks and can be just five minutes.

So figure out what is important for the week and for the month or the next 90 days.
Rate them on the level of importance to figure out what needs to happen first for higher impact.
Schedule your work and batch sessions where you’re focusing on one activity for 2-3 hours
Create space for other activities too because all work and no play makes for a dull life

Follow these steps or modify them to help you stay more productive and focused on your own goals.
