What to do when you’re too close to a situation

It happens to the best of us and to most of us. You lose perspective because there’s the belief that something has to happen without about a specific situation. And when you’re too closely enmeshed, you are struggling to make a decision or take action supporting the big picture.

Let go of the guilt that you’re not doing enough and detach yourself from the situation and/or the people involved so you can get a clear head about what is really happening.

This can be an indication that you’ve not honored yourself and taken care of your own needs. It’s okay to rest and just be in the moment. In fact, your solution or decision to be made will come to you when you allow space to do nothing. You can be in the moment still receive answers from your own intuition collaborating with your mind. You’re always guided through these moments and maybe it’s time you trust the signs and omens coming your way.

Stepping back allows you to look at a picture with fresh eyes. During this time, make space for the creative, imaginative and magical side of you and trust your creative spark and give yourself permission to express yourself in a way that feels good. This can be through writing, drawing, painting, dancing and so on…

You have the resources to get through the challenges, but when you get too close, it becomes clouded and we forget the knowledge we hold. Using your creative muscles distracts you in such a way that it can often bring the answers you want to solve a problem and find a resolution to a situation.

And when you’re ready to take action, it’s okay to make a stand for what you believe in – even when other’s aren’t on board or get where you’re coming from.
