I have had this idea for a really long time and I have held off.

I held off because I wasn’t confident enough and I was still walking in my own shadow.

You have to go through the darkness to see the light and something in that darkness, there is this moment, this idea, the proverbial A-Ha that helps you shift your life and before you know it the darkness has lifted its veil.

3 Ideas you can use to Write your Book today

You know that a book is a powerful tool for an entrepreneur. You know that it not only helps to establish your expertise in your market, but it can also exponentially expand your audience.

Not only that, but it’s the single best way to get the attention of mainstream press outlets, influential bloggers, and podcasters, and to land paid speaking engagements. There’s virtually no downside to writing a book.

Except the actual writing of it.

But your message is bigger than any excuses you could ever come up with. And if you don’t consider yourself a writer, you may think that the benefits are out of your reach, but even self-avowed non-writers have options.

Repurpose. This easy and popular option makes use of the hundreds or even thousands of pages of content you’ve already created, so there is almost no writing involved. You may need to edit a bit for flow and to update ideas, but otherwise, you probably have a ready-made book sitting right on your blog.

And before you start thinking, “Why would anyone pay for a book that’s just pulled from my blog?” know this: People will pay for information that is organized in a way that makes their life easier, even if that same information is available for free elsewhere. In fact, Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net used this technique to publish his wildly popular “31 Days to Build a Better Blog.”

And I have used it for my Dream, Believe, Take Action. The idea came to me one day while driving on a country road and within 2 weeks I had a book ready to be published. And I am literally working on a new book right now, using the same concept with fleshing out the chapters in a way that it makes sense.

Use Private Label Content. Not enough content to repurpose? No problem. There are companies such as Listmagnents.com that specialize in creating content you are allowed to license and use as your own. It’s called private label rights content, or PLR, and (depending on who you buy from) it’s high quality, well-researched content that makes the perfect jumping off point for your next book.

Two things you need to know about PLR: First, because it’s sold to more than one person, it’s important that you edit the content to adapt it to your voice, your unique view of the industry, and to include your personality. Second, you cannot use PLR to publish a book on Kindle, as this is a violation of their terms of service.

Outsource. Want a book that’s all you without having to do the work? Hire a ghostwriter. These professionals will work with you to create a book that is uniquely yours, and in the end, you’ll have a well-written book with your name on it, all without typing a word.

There you have it. No excuses. You have options available to help you write and have a published book can work wonders for your business growth. It will bring you, clients, expand your audience reach, and even attract some press.

But it can’t-do any of that if you don’t write the book in the first place. So take one of these ideas and get to writing. I promise you won’t regret it.

Do you have to write a book to be successful? No. But there’s no denying the fact that a published author will find she has a much easier time growing her business than the coach who keeps putting it off until later.

How to keep your sanity while changing your life

I was laying in bed last night and thinking about my journey for the last 20 years and it made me think about the Law of Attraction and other facts. When I started my journey, I didn’t even know what the Law of Attraction meant and if you are ready to change your life, you may not know what it means either.

The Law of Attraction simply means that you will acquire and achieve, as well as be provided with that of which of you focus on. But when you are in the middle of chaos and ready to lose your own sanity, it can be more than challenging to believe that your life can be anything different than what it is right now.

And there can be a lot of confusion around the Law of Attraction because some may understand it as such that you want to win the lottery and you will then without a doubt win it. But that isn’t really how it works. I am no expert at the Law of Attraction, I am however an expert at overcoming adversity and difficult moments in my life. And truthfully, it still feels confusing at times.

And what I have learned over the years that yes your thoughts that you hold matter and the Law of Attraction is about positivity but what I find challenging is that there are still shit days and you need to allow shit days to exist. My journey has always been about being real during the good, bad and the chaos.

Why would I recommend this? Because during the struggle and the frustration we often receive the most clarity about what we want to achieve in our life. When we are open to being objective and have the ability to look at it we can clearly see what isn’t working and that some changes need to be made.

In addition, there’s the notion that just because you stay positive and focus on what you want that it will magically fall into your lap. Again this isn’t how any of it works. You are going to need to take action.

You can’t keep complaining about how shitty your life is when you want to improve your life. Instead, you want to get incredibly clear on what you want in your life, what that feels like when you achieve the life you want. This matters because you are going to need to set some goals, create new habits (such as stop complaining and embrace gratitude for what is) and decide what action would create the most impact right now in your life to move you forward to what you desire.

The moment you make a decision to either go back to school to improve your life financially or leave relationships behind because they drag you down is when your sanity will be questioned the most. It will ask you every single day: Do you really want this?

And it’s your job to say “Yes” every single day and keep showing up no matter how difficult it may be to delete this one friend you have been connected with for a seriously long time, to make the sacrifice to focus on your studies while perhaps missing out a little bit on your family time.

The ones that love you and support you, will get this and will not be jaded by this. They will cheer you on and encourage you to keep going no matter how bad the shit storm is going to be. Lean on them when you feel your sanity slipping, reach out for help when you don’t think you can go any longer.

The Law of Attraction can be confusing and I kinda get pissed off when people spew positivity only because I am sorry not every day is filled with rainbows, glitter, and sunshine. We need those days just as much as we need the good days.

What really matters is how we deal with them so we can keep out wits about it all. And this is where journaling can be super helpful and powerful. I journal to move forward and to let out all the crap that I may be holding on to. I never read them again because of this. It’s about releasing all the fears, doubts and frustration I am experiencing and then write about how I can course direct my path.

So how can you change your life while keeping your sanity?

    1. Know that this is a journey and that every experience has a purpose to learn and grow from.
    2. Get super clear on what you want your life to look and feel like.
    3. Journal (daily) to express how you feel, what’s frustrating you and ponder how you can move through this. You have the answer, you just need to trust yourself.
    4. Write about your vision every single day. It’s going to take your mind some time to believe that it is possible, especially if your experiences have shown you the opposite.
    5. Create goals that support what you want in your life and create an action plan.
    6. Create new habits that support you, your vision and your goals.
    7. Create a support network with people who support you unconditionally, and you already know who they are. Tell them what you are doing and how they can support you.
    8. People will think you are nuts and that your new life is possible.
    9. Stop complaining!
    10. Practice gratitude for what all the goodness in your life. You are breathing, that’s a good thing.
    11. Define the boundaries you need to create in your life to engage less in the negative space.
    12. Decide you are confident now, not later. You don’t need to achieve X in order to feel confident.
    13. Know that having an off day is not the same thing as living and breathing negativity.
    14. Read or listen to books and blogs about from people who have done what you are wanting to do.
    15. Invest in personal development through courses, coaches, and therapists. Again, tune into what feels good here. Not everyone wants a coach and not everyone needs a coach.
    16. Believe in yourself, your goals and that you can and without question will achieve the life you want.
    17. Take responsibility for your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

One of the things I realized early on is that I complained a lot about everything and I blamed my past for everything that was going on my life. No wonder I was frustrated and struggled to find my path for a really long time. But the moment I took responsibility and started my healing journey is the moment when things really started come together.No I didn’t have it all figured out, nor did I know what it looked like in the end, but you have to start somewhere if you are sick and tired of where you are.

How to be confident in 5 Steps

ConfidentThere’s usually a lot of focus on the negative parts of the mindset that we forget the power words that I find we need to build on more.

Confidence is one for those that require more attention to overcome self-doubt and limiting beliefs. Yes, we all need to do work on those but feeling good should be a priority. Sometimes we really on others too much to help us feel good but we only need ourselves for reassurance.

And because we have the power on how to feel about ourselves, we can do something about it.

So just how to become more confident?

Appear confident

There is something to be said about “fake it till you make it”. No one needs to know how you feel, not your customer or clients – ever. Sure, there is something to be said about transparency but everything has a time and place for it. Use it as a teaching moment is usually a better way. When we look confident, we will feel confident. Voila!

In my businesses, I work from home 90% of the time and this means I have a choice between staying my pj’s or get dressed. When I decide to put on some clothes it immediately shifts something for me and I am already feeling more confident in what I do.

Posture is everything

Body language says so much about how we feel about ourselves. Changing our posture can be hard at first but having your shoulders and spine straight and your chin up is not only good for your body but your confidence. So, pay attention on how you position yourself at home and in public and make a conscious effort to show confidence.

Smile!

A smile does go a long way! For many years people would tell me to smile or ask me what’s wrong when I was happy as a clam. I don’t need to go around smiling all day but trying to smile shows confidence and make other’s feel good. And I am in the business of helping you feel good and transform your life!

Acknowledge your talents and qualities

Doing this will help you from continuously pointing out your flaws. to help you, think about compliments you received and successes you can celebrate. Graduating college or writing a book all things that help you feel good and confident!

Look at what is standing in your way

Sometimes looking at what is hindering us from feeling confident can help us shift your thinking and how we feel. Perhaps you missed a deadline on a project. It’s not the end of the word and luckily there is something you can do about it. You can refocus on your purpose for the project, set a new deadline and write smaller doable steps to get it done. Checking off those action steps will help you grow your confidence!

Confidence is a process that happens over time and sometimes it still is shaken up but knowing that you can do something about it will help you along the way. Use these 5 steps to help you grow and nurture your confidence!
