The coloring pages I have added this month come from my Journal-Coloring book: 365 Days of Becoming.
I envision you to use these pages as an opportunity to reflect on who you are and who you want to become.
We don’t stay the same as we become more aware of our internal struggles of what is our current truth and the truth we want to embody that lies hidden deep within our heart.
You recognize this through feeling out of control and allowing things to happen to you, rather than you making things happen for yourself.
The more self-awareness we create within ourselves, the more insight we have in who we are and who we are becoming in the process. There are parts that may always stay the same, like your core values but there are also parts that will change. The deeper you go you recognize where you’ve been hiding.
You are a divine being, a mix of warrior and goddess and balancing the two, keeping them in harmony is no small feat. But I believe that you are ready to step into your own power, take control of your life and be the woman you envision your future self to be.
You don’t have to wait for all the things to fall into place. You can reach within and unlock the pieces of yourself that you have been hiding and give them permission to emerge.
But you have to start with the here and now.
Who are you right now? Who do you want to be?
Use the coloring pages to express and give yourself a visual representation.
Look at the pages and find the pieces you think are missing. Perhaps they are closer than you think.
And if they are not, what do you need to do to bring those pieces and become one.
The person you are right now will always be with you, but you will grow into the person you want to become.
The time has come to stop hiding, to stop playing it safe and to maintain small.
The time is ripe for you to show yourself to the world, to tell your truth! There is no other truth but your own – live by it and other’s will notice that forging your own path, albeit lonely sometimes, is what you are here to do!
2008 was a rough year for my family but more challenging for my youngest kiddo.
It’s no cake walk receiving 2 liver transplants 3 days apart. You go into surgery one day, wake up just to go into the second surgery a few days later and then be in a medically induced coma for the coming weeks.
In order to keep my head and thoughts above water, I needed another outlet other than studying for my degree because there’s only so much homework you can do in one day.
As an artist, I am always expanding my arsenal of creative outlets and decided that doodling would be perfect while we lived in the intensive care unit. It’s not like I could bring in my wood-burner, though that would have been great. But realistically it wasn’t an option and although I had my crochet work, it just wasn’t enough.
And off to the craft store, we went to pick up pen and paper and the doodling began.
I needed to affirm the words, believe, faith, hope, dream and created different versions of each doodle.
Jump ahead a few years later and I am able to take my art and have them on different products.
Drink your coffee in the Dream Doodle Mug and envision all of the possibilities you can create in your life.
Dreaming expands your imagination and creates room for opportunities, provided you don’t censor your thoughts and talk yourself out of it.
Dreaming can provide new ideas on how to solve problems and lead you into action.
So why don’t you get your mindset support in the form of a mug and every time you take a sip you are reminded to dream?
Give yourself permission to dream! You are only one step away!
July’s coloring pages are in and I had lot’s fun creating them. One of the things I love about doodling and coloring is how it allows me to connect to me. My brain is on a constant drive and it’s nice to just shut it off for a little while.
My dad’s birthday is in July and I thought I would create a Lion to color in but I would love to see you do more than just color.
Doodle inside of the main and completely make it your own.
Share it in the group Create your Colorful Life.
In addition, there is a Calendar for July, un-dated and three additional doodles I conjured.
Of course, I want to see all of your amazing artwork in the group! Don’t be shy and join us!
There’s no denying that I love my coffee. Truth be told, I’ve been drinking coffee since I was a teenager and, yes I am slightly addicted (and please spare me all the health reasons of why I should stop drinking coffee).
You see, I come from a family of coffee drinkers and at one point in my life, I was drinking coffee all day long, an average of 2 pots a day.
like love coffee. And there were times where I had to make changes because in my last pregnancy the coffee was gross, but due to my slight coffee addiction, the headaches were insane. And so I added creamer and a few pounds.
I’ve since gone back to black coffee and drink about 3-5 cups depending when I wake up. I switched to water for the rest of the day.
I applaud the person who decided that this one little bean and engaging it with water came up with this nectar.
I sometimes, wake up to coffee in bed with a few moments of closeness with my partner.
And at other times, I sit on my deck with my cup of coffee and my journal, enjoying the sounds of nature that surrounds our home.
This is a perfect start to my day.
Coffee and I have the perfect relationship because coffee understands, and it also doesn’t talk back.
I sit and ponder about the day, conjuring ideas and my next steps. And it’s beautiful.
I know coffee get’s a bad rap at times and other’s simply don’t like it. I don’t like matcha green tea. It’s all good!
We all over our likes and dislikes and we all choose what we allow to be part of our dreams.
I choose coffee.
There was a time where my love for coffee was frowned upon. And instead, I chose to embrace it.
There’s nothing wrong with turning your coffee, or tea or other favorite things into your dreams.
But coffee and me, we get along.
I created this t-shirt to show my love for coffee and that it is really a part of my life.
So I just released 365 Days of Becoming and thought it would be helpful to give you a glimpse of what it took to put this beast of a Journal/Coloring book together.
Because it is a monster of 365 coloring pages and 365 journal pages.
How I came up with the idea!
I had a thought that it would be amazing to create something that helps you step into your power with two of the tools that have been super helpful to me: coloring and writing.
Then I thought, wouldn’t it be awesome to create something for every single day of the year.
And voila, the idea was born. Now I didn’t have a name yet, only that I knew if would have a lot of coloring pages and writing pages.
Getting to work
I started doodling and initially thought it would only take me about 15 days to create all of the pages. Yep, I am a little bit ambitious but I realized really quickly that I needed more time.
I encountered days where I had other things pop up, I just didn’t feel like doodling and for someone who preaches about self-care, I needed to manage my energy.
So, I extended the deadline and found my energy to be on par.
I finished all of the pages in 25 days. Scanned and edited them in another 3 days.
And then it came down to laying it out, creating a spreadsheet to not duplicate any pages and creating the feel I wanted to create with this monster of a book.
From there it was just a matter of getting the proof ready and correct to the printing standards it needed. This took another 5 days.
The Lessons Learned:
Deadlines are awesome and I kinda live by them but giving yourself enough time is key or you will burn out on the project/goal. If I am ever going to undertake another project like this, I am giving myself a much longer deadline.
Familiarize yourself with all the printing needs from CreateSpace.com. I spend way more time editing and going back and forth to get it to proper printing quality than necessary. There bigger the book, the bigger the gutter and the margins need to be in retrospect.
Take enough days off so I am not burning out on the project. Again this was a big undertaking and 30 days was pushing it and I still had to extend the deadline. Also, there are still other things that need to happen in life and in business and it’s important I don’t neglect them.

It’s finally here! 365 Days of Becoming – a Journey into Self!
I’ve been working on this, well ever since the idea came to me and so I spent about a month creating the pages and start putting it together.
And it’s a monster!
What exactly is 365 Days of Becoming?
It’s a journey into self. Think about it like as if you are born every single day. Something new to explore and discover about who you are!
Growth always happens from the inside out and it requires courage to be you.
And this journal is so much more because it is also a coloring book. And I wrote about doodling and journaling to give you an insight of how I got started and hopefully conveyed why I find this important!
So how do you use this journal/coloring book?
The pages are filled with quotes, mantra’s and affirmations so you can really feel into the words.
Use them as prompts if you are not sure on what to write.
Color them in any time you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed and just need to calm yourself.
What will this journal help you achieve or what will it do for you?
- It will help you to be more present in each moment. All too often we are scattered all over the place and forget to feel and be.
- It will help you to unlock your own creativity and tap into the parts that perhaps you have been hiding.
- It will help you solve your own problems. When you venture into sitting down every day and uncover what is holding you back, you are opening the door to your solutions.
- It will help you become more confident as you are diving deep into your soul and go on to discover who you are.
It’s 365 Coloring Pages and 365 Writing Pages! This thing is HUGE!
Here’s the thing, life is an adventure and this book is your companion along this journey!
